20th September WINWICK v Lymn Draw 2-2
Full strength squad today, holidays over, injuries falling over fires sorted! Thanks to Lea, Sarah and Anthony (Lea's son, not Nathan's Dad who was still in bed till 930!) for getting to the ground at what seems like 730 to put the nets and rope up.
Much better performance today, some great passing movements early on by Lewis, Matthew, Ellis and Aaron which results in a goal for Aaron from a pass by Ellis 1-0, last weeks game a mere memory. Lymn fight back but stalwart defending by Edward and Leon ably assisted by Jake 'the cat' kept Lymn at bay. All our players getting shots in today but their goalkeeper is a colossus and difficult to beat. Aaron repays the assist by Ellis by rifling a ball into the box which see's Ellis score a nicely taken goal 2-0. Rotation system taking place this morning in the warm weather,Ellis and Matthew make way for Simon and Nathan who are straight into the game. Good strong running by the pair who have been chomping at the bit to get on. A setback just before half time and Lymn pull one back 2-1. Half time.
2nd half starts at a furious pace with good passing once again by Winwick. However Lymn are not phased and fight back well to get an equaliser 2-2. Several chances come our way before the end with everyone involved in the swapping but it is not to be and we have to settle for a draw, final score 2-2.
A lot of positives from today's game but the lads still need to raise themselves more when we let goals in, don't be downhearted and think positive. Remember you are all attackers and you are all defenders at some point in the game-TEAMWORK!

13th September Eagle v WINWICK Lost 0-4
The beautiful game is back, however not to pretty for our intrepid boys today. Outplayed by an eager, hungry Eagle side.
Wont dwell on this game for to long except to say there were some nice passing movements that bears well for the season. We didn't play that badly but must have more hunger and enthusiasm at times. Onwards and upwards.
