To view the Bus allocation click HERE
To view the Stadium seating plan click HERE PLEASE IGNORE the printed Ticket Numbers you will receive ...... THIS STADIUM SEATING PLAN SHOWS YOU WHERE YOU WILL BE SITTING
Supplied tickets to us are in a consecutive manner, such that ALL the Adults would be sat together, with the U16s all together too (which is NOT the way we want things). So, we have E-MAILED ALL GOING this Saturday with a detailed SEATING PLAN that has YOU ALL SITTING BESIDE or CLOSE to EACH OTHER in your Small Group as best as possible (eg. if you ordered 1 Adult + 1 U16 Ticket then you WILL be sitting beside each other .... BUT you will NOT be sitting at the seat shown on your ticket - you will be sitting at the seat as shown on the SEATING PLAN (NOTE: To help you out here your CORRECT Row and Seat number is written on the ENVELOPE you will collect on Saturday morning when you board your Bus).
Your tickets are now ready and sealed inside an envelope with your name on it to be handed to you and checked off our master list as you board the BUS before 9am THIS Saturday 5th September. We will also ask you to check that we have your correct Mobile Telephone number listed (when you board the bus) for use in an emergency on the day (eg. should you go missing and the Coach be about to head back to Warrington !! ??).
STOP PRESS : BUSES WILL LEAVE WINWICK, WATERWORKS LANE, AT 9.00am :
Depart Winwick : 9.00am on Saturday 5th September (aiming to stop to the North of Wembley for a while around 1.30pm / 2.00pm), before timing the final leg of the journey to reach Wembley Stadium Coach Park (adjacent to the Stadium) close to gate opening time of 3.30pm.
Depart Wembley : 8.00pm (aiming to arrive back in Winwick at around 1am on Sunday 6th September).
TRAVEL ADVICE : Take drinks and packed lunches with you on your BUS. STOP PRESS : Further information kindly supplied by Dean Hughes states that WEMBLEY will ALLOW the following to be taken into the Stadium; Food, sandwiches, crisps, but NOT in Boxes (unless the 'box' is a "shop-bought" pre-packed cardboard / cellophane wrapper). Alcohol and Drinks Cans are NOT allowed, but plastic bottles with the tops removed are allowed in (basically they do not want 'missiles' or hard objects to be taken inside the Stadium).
SOME EXTRA GOODIES : Brian Cookson has managed to get some 'goodies' for the kids to consume on the BUS Journey ... courtesy of WALKERS CRISPS and VIMTO ...... Many thanks to these Companies for keeping our troops all nicely fed and watered
Of course all of this comes about following the sensational news in late July 2009 for Winwick Athletic FC. We were confirmed as the FA Charter Standard "NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CLUB OF THE YEAR 2009". We shall be receiving this Award at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 5th September 2009 before the England v Slovenia International Match, which kicks-off at 5.30pm.
This is absolutely fantastic news and is a massive tribute to the dedication of ALL involved in this Club. The honour of earning this award is beyond all expectations, when you consider that there are more than 1,500 Clubs in Lancashire County FA and there are 49 County FAs in England; this means that there are around 75,000 Football Clubs affiliated to Clubs in England. In Lancashire County FA there are 41 Clubs who have attained Charter Standard Development Club status, which is a mere 2.7% of the 1,500 Clubs. To be a Development Club carries huge prestige in the first place, to be named NATIONAL Charter Standard Development Club of the Year needs no further words to describe our immense pride.
This is a joint award with Longhoughton Rangers from Northumberland who equally deserve many congratulations for being a fantastic and well run Club with envious new facilities nearing completion; www.longhoughtonrangers.co.uk We have been speaking to Paul Kiddell, Chairman at Longhoughton, since announcement of our joint national award and look forward to a great new relationship looking to the future as we explore common goals and reciprocal activites. Watch this space over the coming weeks and months.
