A reminder to all Winwick coaches to renew First Aid, CRB and Child Protection certificates as they come up for expiry. We need to keep on top of this to maintain our charter standard status as a club.

A request to all coaches for more session plan and coaching ideas for the coaches dugout. Send your ideas to Jason at jgouk@hotmail.com or aza_jones@yahoo.co.uk

FA Learning is delighted to announce a new support package designed exclusively for all 65,000 FA Level One qualified coaches.

This new (heavily discounted) support package combines the very best of FA Learning's new online and written resources and has been designed to support the development of all Level One FA qualified coaches that support grassroots football.

All learners that subscribe will have six months access to the following six online courses:

  • Psychology for Soccer Level One
  • Fitness for Football Level One
  • Coaching Children
  • Soccer Camp Coach
  • Player and Match Analysis
  • Planning and Preparing Coaching Sessions

On completing each course the learner will receive a certificate, meaning 6 in total, all of which confirm their continued commitment to improving all aspects of their game.

As well as the online course access subscribers will also receive the following official FA Learning written resources:

  • FA Learning Guide to Basic Team Coaching
  • FA Learning Guide to Football Fitness
  • FA Learning Guide to Football Psychology
  • The latest copy of The FA's Coaches Associations' journal - Insight

This adds up to more than 600 pages of coaching inspired content, all of which is designed to support coaches at all levels of the game.

At Winwick Athletic FC we require all our coaches to achieve the FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate within their first season at the club. This includes Emergency 1st aid and Child Protection, which must be completed at the earliest opportunity. For coaches with at least this level of qualification we also insist on coaches renewing their existing Emergency 1st aid and Child Protection certification every 3 years. We encourage and support all our coaches to undertake further qualifications such as FA Level 2 and distance learning courses (e.g. Soccer Parent) via the FA Learning online. We also require all our coaches to be CRB checked.
